Dr. Chavkin specializes in general infertility evaluation and treatment, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) protocol optimization, third-party reproduction (egg donation and surrogacy), reciprocal IVF, and LGBTQ+ family building, minimal stimulation, fertility preservation with egg and embryo freezing, oncofertility, and pregnancy loss. Her expertise includes primary and secondary infertility due to diminished ovarian reserve and advanced reproductive age; tubal-factor, male-factor, and unexplained infertility; anovulation and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Education and Experience
Dr. Chavkin earned her medical degree from New York University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She was awarded Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a degree in psychology and history. Before launching her medical career, she worked as a middle school math and science teacher in New York City public schools, where she honed her compassionate and educational approach to healthcare.
